Happy Lunar New Year,  Snake (2025) 蛇年吉祥

Wednesday Jan 29th mark the beginning of Lunar New Year that is celebrated among Asians around the world. According to the traditional Calendar, this Year the elemental sign is wood, and it does not coincide with the solar term the beginning Spring which it often does. A chance to celebrate springs twice makes 2025 unique. It also means a much colder period going into the Spring season as we are experiencing right now. Celebration starts the day before and last until February 12th for a total of 16 days. Visiting friends and families, passing out red envelop, and fine dining are just few of the fun things done around New Year.

大寒 (Da Han), January 20th 2025,  the last solar term 节气before the Lunar New Year Spring Festival. Today marks the end of the winter and nature ‘s steadfast pace marching into Spring . The big chill although cold , day is already start to lengthen. This year the big chill is January 20th, Martin Luther King Day. Today is also 47th President Inauguration. The North East region is also expecting a major dip in temperature and major snow for NYC that has not seen for some times.
